Basketball Alumni Day Reception
Saturday, February 7
Noon – 5 p.m.
butcher Center, Starkey Skybox
Join us for a Basketball Alumni & Donor reception in the Starkey Skybox of the Butcher Center! The reception will span the time of both the men’s and women’s games.
- Women’s Game: 1 p.m.
- Men’s Game: 3 p.m.
Enjoy light refreshments, reconnect with teammates, and cheer on the next generation of Rams from one of the best views in the arena.
Additionally, Coaches Justin Namolik and Julie Kaufman have planned additional activities throughout the weekend.
- During the Men’s game, the 1975-76 team will be recognized on the anniversary of their remarkable 33-3 season.
- Directly following the Men’s game, alumni are invited to participate in a family knockout and 3-on-3 alumni game.
- Women’s basketball alumni are invited to a 3-on-3 alumni game on Sunday, February 8

Professional Connections Day

Professional Connections Day is a conference-style, alumni-to-student networking event consisting of a keynote luncheon and speaker and breakout sessions covering various professional topics led by alumni. This year, the Shepherd Alumni Association and Shepherd Office of Career Services is partnering with Shepherd Rotaract to sponsor the keynote luncheon and speaker. Dawn Crawley, owner of STW Cleaning, will be the keynote speaker and the luncheon is open for community members to attend for a fee. 4th Annual SUAA Legacy Gala for Scholarships

Celebrate your Shepherd University experience and invest in the future at the Fourth Annual Legacy Gala. Join fellow alumni for an unforgettable evening of music, connection, and philanthropy in support of the Shepherd University Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship Fund. The evening will begin with a cocktail reception featuring beer and wine service, followed by a plated dinner accompanied by live music. Continue the celebration with engaging fundraising activities, including raffles, games, prizes, and a photo booth—creating memories while supporting tomorrow’s Rams.*
Individual Ticket – $60**
Couples Ticket – $90**

65th Annual McMurran Scholars Convocation

The McMurran Scholar Award, the highest academic honor granted by Shepherd University, was conceived in 1961 by Professor Kenneth Riley who served on the first Honors Committee along with Librarian John Maine and Dean of Students O.L. Harry. Criteria for selection as a McMurran Scholar can be found here.

65th McMurran Scholars Anniversary Celebration
Saturday, April 25
5 – 8 p.m.
SU Dining Hall – upper floor (East Campus Loop)
Join us for a special dinner reception to celebrate 65 years of the McMurran Scholars award! See a tentative event schedule below.
Formal invitations will be sent to all former McMurran Scholars for the event. Please make sure your information is up to date with the Alumni Association by filling out the online form here.
