Outstanding Alumna Of The Year Award2025-26 Recipients:

The Outstanding Alumni of the Year Award is an opportunity to recognize an alumnus for their dedication and volunteer commitments that have significantly enhanced the goals and mission of Shepherd University and the Shepherd University Alumni Association. The award recipient will have given of themselves for the enrichment of others, the University, and the betterment of the community.
Nominations are taken throughout the year and are chosen by a selection committee during the annual June SUAA Board of Directors meeting. The recipient is then notified and honored during Homecoming Weekend.

To be considered for the 2025-2026 year, nominations must be received by June 1! All nominations received after that point will be considered for the 2026-2027 year. You can also DOWNLOAD a paper nomination form to be mailed in.

Shepherd University’s Finest Under 402025-26 Recipient Class:
Daniel Sweeney ’17, Jake Mellow ’17 & ’19, Hannah Brumbaugh ’18 & ’20, Alyssa Roush ’19 & ’21
The Finest Under 40 award recognizes young alumni who are leading the way in business, research, leadership, community, artistic, educational, and/or philanthropic endeavors. Each year, awardees are chosen by the Alumni Association board of directors based on nomination packets received that detail professional expertise and achievements, as well as dedication to charitable and community projects.

Pillars of Shepherd Award

The Pillars of Shepherd Award is a distinguished honor bestowed upon alumni whose unwavering commitment, leadership, and philanthropy have served as a foundation for the continued growth and strength of Shepherd University. This prestigious recognition is reserved for individuals who embody the qualities of strength, support, dedication, and enduring service. Honorees have demonstrated a long-term investment in the life of the university through sustained volunteerism, active leadership, and meaningful philanthropic contributions.
