Why Live on Campus?
Living on campus offers more than just a place to live. Students are encouraged to connect with their peers and participate in residence hall activities. Whether you’re just starting your journey at Shepherd, joining us from another school, or returning to campus, we are excited to welcome you to our Ram Family!
Before you apply:
- Be admitted to the Shepherd University
- Pay your Enrollment Deposit
- Setup your RAIL Account, retrieve your User Name and create a password
- Use your username and password to log into the Good Living Portal
- You can now start the housing application process!
Good Living Portal:
The Good Living Portal is the central place for everything related to Residence life. Here, you can find forms and information about your housing, meal plans, assignments, and roommate profiles. Commuters can also use the portal to choose a meal plan.
Residence Halls
Potomac Place |
Potomac Place offers suite-style living with options for double and single occupancy. Residence Life sets aside 100 suites specifically for first-year residents, but all residents are welcome to apply. |
Shaw Hall &
|
Traditional Halls are at the center of campus. Traditional Halls offer more options for those interested in our single-room experience. Restrooms are shared with others living in a wing; each restroom has private stalls and showers available to all residents. |
Honors Suites |
As space permits, first-year Honors students may be eligible to live in Martin Hall, a suite-style building among the West Woods suites. On your Housing Application, be sure to include Honors in your living preferences when prompted. |
West Woods &
|
West Woods and Miller Hall offer suite-style living with two bedrooms, one en-suite bathroom, and a shared living room. The suites provide residents the “apartment-style” living quality without the kitchen. Available to upperclass, transfer, and readmit residents. |
Dunlop & Printz Apartments |
Dunlop and Printz Halls offer apartment living with a private bathroom, living room, and kitchen. Most apartments have 2 double-occupancy bedrooms; 6 apartments have 3 double-occupancy bedrooms with two bathrooms. The apartments provide a great opportunity for independent living. Available to upper-class, transfer, and readmit residents. |
