SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Shepherd University’s Office of Student Community Services concluded another successful Our Campus Cares Holiday Drive, helping families across the Eastern Panhandle through three major giving initiatives.
This year, Shepherd students, faculty, and staff donated 25 holiday stockings and 25 Angel Tags to the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program, which pairs donors with local children who need essential items, clothing, and toys during the holiday season. The Angel Tree Program serves thousands of families nationwide each year, and Shepherd’s contributions helped the local chapter surpass 600 Angel Tags collected for 2025.
The campus community also donated 106 toys for the annual Covenant Church Toy Drive, which provides gifts to children in Shepherdstown-area neighborhoods.
Shepherd University extends thanks to everyone who contributed to this year’s initiatives and shares special appreciation for the University’s Wellness Center, whose annual Jingle Bell Jog boosted toy donations.
More Our Campus Cares initiatives are planned for the spring semester.
