SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — On Tuesday, December 2, Shepherd University will participate in Giving Tuesday, a worldwide day of generosity and support. This year, the University’s #RamsGivingTuesday campaign invites alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents, and friends to rally together in support of the future of the Ram Family and the entire Shepherd community.
The Shepherd University Foundation is encouraging donors to contribute to The Shepherd Fund, which provides support for virtually every aspect of the Shepherd University experience. Donors may also give to specific funds supporting scholarships, programs, athletics, faculty, or other categories that align with their interests. Every gift, regardless of size, makes a difference and goes to support our shared mission in the spirit of ONEShepherd: One mission. One vision. One voice.
Observed annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Giving Tuesday was launched as a global movement to inspire generosity and shift the holiday season’s focus toward philanthropy. In 2024 alone, an estimated $3.6 billion was donated across the United States.
