SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — The Shepherd University men’s and women’s basketball teams both earned postseason spots in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament, highlighting strong 2025-26 seasons for the Rams.
The Shepherd men’s team advanced to the quarterfinal round of the PSAC Tournament before falling to the California Vulcans, 81–56, on March 4 in California, Pennsylvania. Junior guard Marcus Banks led Shepherd with a game-high 32 points.
The men’s team reached the quarterfinals after earning a first-round win earlier in the tournament and finished the season with a 20-10 overall record.
The Shepherd women’s team also secured a place in the PSAC Tournament. They opened postseason play on March 2 in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, where they fell to the Huskies, 70-53, and concluded the season with an 11-16 overall record.
Both the men’s and women’s programs showed development throughout the season while competing in one of the nation’s most competitive Division II conferences.
