School of Music to host free morning student concert on October 10

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Shepherd University’s School of Music is hosting Monday Morning Musicale, a free concert and coffee, on Monday, October 10, at 10 a.m. in the Frank Arts Center W.H. Shipley Recital Hall. The public is invited to enjoy a cup of coffee and conversation after the performance.

The program will feature solo and ensemble work for voice, piano, trombone, flute, marimba, guitar, and jazz combo. The performers will include Corwin Neat, Nottingham, Maryland, trombone; Emily McMoran, Charles Town, West Virginia, flute; Meghan Butler, Hagerstown, Maryland, voice; Anthony Domina, Connellsville, Pennsylvania, marimba; Kaitlyn Warren, Winchester, Virginia, piano; and Benjamin Smith, Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, voice.

The program will close with a performance by a jazz combo directed by Kelton Norris, adjunct music professor, playing a tune by Herbie Hancock with lyrics by Quincy Jones—featuring Jerel Parker, Kearneysville, West Virginia, on alto saxophone; Jacob Routzhan, Falling Waters, West Virginia, on guitar, Crispin Enger, Alexandria, Virginia, on bass; Jonathan Zutt, Gambrills, Maryland, on drums; Zoey Breakall, Clear Spring, Maryland, on vocals; and Anthony Domina on vibraphone.
