SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Shepherd University’s Scarborough Library has instituted a new pick-up service to allow faculty, staff, students, and community borrowers to safely check out books, DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks during the COVID-19 pandemic. Patrons will request materials through the online catalog and pick them up by appointment.
Library staff will retrieve items while wearing a protective cloth mask and disposable gloves. Items will be checked out to the requesting patron, placed in a paper bag, and labeled with the patron’s name. Materials may be returned in the book drop on the library’s front porch. This service is subject to change as procedures and policies evolve in response to external developments.
