Rude Mechanicals Medieval and Renaissance Players to present ‘Hamlet’ beginning November 5

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — The Rude Mechanicals Medieval and Renaissance Players will present William Shakespeare’s tragedy “Hamlet” starting Friday, November 5, in Reynolds Hall. “Hamlet” explores dysfunctional families, murder, and revenge, and the resulting trauma produced in Hamlet, his family, and friends.

Shepherd University students in the cast and crew include Rachel Carroll, Journey Sullivan, and L. Harvey, Shepherdstown; Sean Miller, Charles Town; Laura Wilt, Summit Point; Victoria Fairchild, Sade Herring, and Olyvia Thompson, Martinsburg; Mikyla Hamrick and Chole Johnson, Inwood; Dannah Lohr, Bunker Hill; Julie Bowen, Baker; Stephen Criner, Montgomery; William Prudnick, Beckley; Carter Curry, Buckhannon; Azariah White, Hagerstown, Maryland; Brenna Fitzgerald, Rohersville, Maryland; Mark Van Zalk, Kensington, Maryland; and Brynae Harrod, Washington, D.C.

Performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. on November 5, 6, 12, and 13; 3 p.m. on November 7 and 14; and 8:30 p.m. on November 10 and 11. Performances are free for Shepherd students and employees with a valid Rambler ID, $2 for students who are in K-12 and at other colleges, and $7 for the general public.
