SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — The Scarborough Library hosted Breakfast on the Porch on October 25 and unveiled the newest READ poster featuring Dr. Lindsey Levitan, Shepherd University 2021 Outstanding Teacher and associate professor of psychology. Levitan chose “The Princess Bride” as her favorite book. The photo on the poster was taken by her husband, professional photographer Sam Levitan, and features her reading the book to her son with a castle in the background.
The library’s READ poster project started in 2011 and is based on a series begun by the American Library Association that featured celebrities and their favorite books to encourage reading. Copies of all the READ posters hang in the library.
