Information sessions planned March 4-5 on 2016 European psychology trip

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — A visit to Sigmund Freud’s house in London and a psychology lecture in Paris are among the activities planned for a tour to England and France May 18-15, 2016 sponsored by Shepherd University. The Department of Psychology is sponsoring the trip that will focus on the origins of psychology and the scientific study of human behavior.

Dr. Chris Lovelace, assistant professor of psychology, will lead the tour. It will include visits to popular London and Paris sights like Westminster Abbey and the Eiffel Tower. There will also be stops at Charles Darwin’s house, the U.S. College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy, and Musée Dupuytren, which has exhibits of medical oddities.

The early enrollment price is $2,915 for those age 29 and under, and $3,095 for those 30 and over. The trip is open to Shepherd students, who will be able to receive credit for the History and
Systems of Psychology class, faculty, staff, and members of the community. Two information sessions are planned for Wednesday and Thursday, March 4 and 5, at 5:30 p.m. in room 209 of White Hall.
