SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Auditions for the Shepherd University Community Orchestra and Junior Strings Ensemble for the 2022-2023 season will take place on Wednesday, August 31, from 6-9 p.m. in the Frank Arts Center. Room locations will be made available upon arrival. Tuition for both ensembles is $150 per semester.
The Junior Strings Ensemble, under the direction of Renee Shaw Nutwell, is open to elementary, middle, and high school age string players and meets every Wednesday evening from 6:15-7:15 p.m. beginning September 7.
The Shepherd Community Orchestra, under the direction of Camilo Pérez-Mejía, is open to advanced string players in middle and high school, as well as adult community members and meets every Wednesday evening from 7:30-8:30 p.m. beginning September 7.
The ensembles will perform in two concerts in the Frank Arts Center Theater. There will be a fall concert on December 7 and a spring concert on April 26, 2023.
