SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — The “Best in Howliday Show” and dog parade that took place December 12 sponsored by Shepherd University and the Corporation of Shepherdstown raised $1,400 for Briggs Animal Adoption Center and the Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County. Each organization received $700, plus a large box of donated items such as pet food, supplies, and toys.

Representatives from both organizations attended the event. Briggs representatives Megan Hessenberger and Hayley Miller staffed an information table and volunteered to assist at the voting table. The Animal Welfare Society brought five adoptable dogs and participated in the parade.
