SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Alpha Sigma Tau’s Chi Chapter at Shepherd University was recently recognized by the national sorority for demonstrating health and safety excellence during the 2024-2026 award period. Awards were announced at Alpha Sigma Tau’s 46th National Convention, held June 11-14 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The Chi Chapter received the Health and Safety Excellence Award, which recognizes chapters that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to risk prevention, education, and management.
From 2024-2026, all of the chapter’s new members have completed the new member
education courses through the Alpha Sigma Tau Learning Lounge.
Chapter President Emily Gress, Vice President of Member Development Kayla Shaffer, and
Vice President of Community Relations Natalie Schmidt attended the convention and accepted the award on behalf of the chapter.
The Alpha Sigma Tau National Council congratulated the Chi Chapter for its hard work, perseverance, and commitment to their sorority and community.
