School of Music to present October 27 choral concert

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — The Shepherd University Chamber Singers and Camerata, under the direction of Dr. Steven Grives, will present a choral concert titled “Light and Life” on Friday, October 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the Frank Arts Center Theater.

The program includes works by Anton Bruckner, Gabriel Fauré, Eric Whitacre, Franz Biebl, Sarah Quartel, Emily Saliers and Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls, Brian Tate, and a couple of arrangements of traditional Appalachian songs. The Music Theater Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Bobb Robinson, will present excerpts from the upcoming spring production of “Into the Woods.”
General admission for the “Light and Life” choral concert is $15; $10 for Shepherd employees and alumni, senior citizens, and students aged 18 and under; and free for Shepherd students with a valid Rambler ID. Tickets can be purchased in advance online.
