Library Instruction Lab (Room 307) Use Policy
The primary function of the Library Instruction Lab is to provide a teaching facility for library faculty and staff to instruct Shepherd University students, faculty and staff on the services and research tools available at Scarborough Library.
While the Library Instruction Lab is not being used for instruction, the lab is open for a general computer lab.
The Library Instruction Lab can be reserved by Shepherd University community members and local community members for training sessions and course-related instruction that does not involve a library faculty or staff member on a limited basis. When reserving the Library Instruction Lab please be aware:
- Priority is given to information literacy and library instruction given by a library faculty or staff.
- The lab can not be reserved on an ongoing basis, such as for a course that meets once or twice a week. (Exception: courses taught by Library faculty or staff.)
- Shepherd University members who wish to reserve the lab for an extended period of a semester will be limited to a maximum of six (6) reservations per semester. (Please note: this is NOT six (6) reservations per course.)
This policy is subject to change.
