Facilities Management employees wore pink shirts every Friday in October to raise awareness of cancer during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Matt Ware, assistant director for grounds and custodial services, said the gesture is meant to offer support to those affected by breast and other forms of cancer. “It’s a small way of showing our support to breast cancer survivors and survivors of other forms of cancer and to remember those we have lost,” Ware said. “Hopefully, one day cancer will be a word that can be taken out of the dictionary.”
