Graduate studies at Shepherd University have been designed to complement undergraduate programs by providing quality graduate study with a strong emphasis on career preparation. Graduate programs offered have been carefully selected in response to the career goals of area students, the needs of local employers for highly qualified professionals, and the ability of the University to provide excellent graduate education. Members of the graduate faculty, who are selected by a campuswide Graduate Committee, must be qualified in their subject matter--normally with a terminal degree in their field--and must demonstrate a pattern of continued professional activity.
