Shepherd to host Ivory Coast ambassador for talk, reception March 26

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Shepherd University will host the Honorable Daouda Diabate, the Ivory Coast’s Ambassador Plenipotentiary to the United States, for a talk Wednesday, March 26 at 5 p.m. in the Robert C. Byrd Center for Legislative Studies auditorium.

The talk will focus on political and economic reforms implemented under the Ivory Coast’s new leadership following years of struggle and is sponsored by Pi Sigma Alpha, the political science honor society.

The International Student Organization (ISO) will hold a reception and second talk by Diabate, along with ISO students talking about their experiences, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Storer Ballroom. It is sponsored by Multicultural Student Affairs and refreshments will be served.
