Shepherd to host April 22 5K to raise money for the Shenandoah Women’s Center

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — The third annual Shepherd University 3D Dash 5K race to benefit the Shenandoah Women’s Center will take place on Saturday, April 22. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. and the race will start at 10 a.m. at the Smallwood and Small Pavilion next to Ram Stadium. The entire race goes through Shepherd’s campus.

Registration costs are $10 for students, $20 for non-students, and $10 for runners on teams of five or more. Preregistration is encouraged and available at the Shepherd University Wellness Center, Residence Life office, Student Center information desk, Shepherd Health Center, Shenandoah Women’s Center at 236 West Martin St. in Martinsburg, and online at http://swcinc.org/5k/. The first 200 runners who register will receive a T-shirt. There will also be door prizes, music, photos, and sexual assault awareness activities.

Organizers are also looking for volunteers to help with the race. Volunteers can sign up online and will be required to check in at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the race.
