Music department presents holiday gala

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — The Shepherd University Wind Symphony, Jazz Ensemble, Chamber Singers, Camerata Singers, Men’s Choir, and Concert Choir will perform at the Friends of Music Annual Holiday Gala concert Saturday, December 7 at 7:30 p.m. and in a family matinee performance Sunday, December 8 at 3 p.m. at the Frank Center.

Sunday’s matinee also includes a sing-a-long led by Dr. Rob Tudor, chair of the music department at ShepherdUniversity, an instrument “petting zoo” for all ages, and Santa Claus will make a special guest appearance.

The gala is narrated by Tudor and is sponsored by Bowles Rice Attorneys at Law.

General admission for Saturday’s concert is $20; $18 for faculty, staff, seniors 65 and older and military; $10 for 18 and under, and free for Shepherd students with Rambler ID. Special pricing for Sunday’s matinee is $15 general admission; $10 for faculty, staff, seniors 65 and older, and military; $5 for 18 and under; and free for Shepherd students with Rambler ID and children 5 and under accompanied by an adult. Seating is limited.
