President Hendrix introduces Congressman McKinley at Research!America Annual Meeting

President Mary J.C. Hendrix introduced Congressman David McKinley (R-W.Va.) during the Research!America 28th Annual Meeting on March 15. Also speaking was award-winning actress and Lymphatic Education & Research Network (LE&RN) spokesperson Kathy Bates. Dr. Hendrix serves on the board of Research!America, the nation’s largest not-for-profit public education and advocacy alliance working to make research to improve health a higher national priority.

President Hendrix named to Center of Nanotechnology Excellence advisory panel

President Mary J.C. Hendrix has been named to an external advisory panel for research being conducted at the Center of Nanotechnology Excellence (CCNE) at Northwestern University. CCNE has received a five-year grant from the National Cancer Institute to research the use of nanotherapeutic treatment for brain and prostate cancers. Hendrix was invited by Dr. Chad A. Mirkin and Dr. Leonidas Platanias, CCNE co-directors, to serve on the panel of nationally recognized scientific leaders.
