Early childhood music classes begin January 19, open for registration

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — The Shepherd University Department of Music’s Community Music Division early childhood music classes for children 18 months-5 years will begin on Friday, January 19. The classes, which will be taught by Frauke Higgins, offer children experience learning songs, rhythm games, acoustic instruments, and Orff instruments.

The classes cost $140 each, will run for 10 weeks, and will take place in the Frank Center on Friday mornings from January 19-April 13. There will be no classes on February 2, March 9, and March 30. The two classes offered are Musical Discoveries for 18 months-3 years old, with caregiver, from 9:15-10 a.m., and Music for Preschoolers, for ages 3-5 with caregiver, from 10-10:45 a.m.
