SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Shepherd University’s Department of Contemporary Art and Theater is celebrating International Sculpture Day, Monday, April 24, with an open house in the Fine Art, Science, Technology, Engineering, Educational Resource Lab (FASTEnER Lab) from 4-9 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted and a silent auction of artwork will take place to raise money for students who are traveling to Finland for a summer sculpture program.

The FASTEnER Lab is an interdisciplinary fabrication space located in the Center for Contemporary Arts II rooms 125 and 126. During the open house, visitors will be able to make a ram mask, help construct a public sculpture, engrave their names with a laser, draw with a CNC machine, and see a 3D printer at work.
