Adam Booth to host February 11 Speak Story Series fundraiser

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — The founder of Shepherd University’s Speak Story Series, Adam Booth, is hosting an intimate evening with a look at how he develops stories for the stage on Sunday, February 11, from 7-9 p.m. at the Shepherdstown Community Club, 102 East German St.

With a focus on his Appalachian 20th Century Series, Booth will discuss the creative process of developing stories for the stage, including drafting, drawing upon musical influences, workshopping, and premiering new work. Booth will also introduce season six of Speak Story Series, which will begin in March. The evening will include an interactive interview session and refreshments.

The suggested donation for the evening is $50. The minimum donation is $25. Donations of $75 or more will receive a Speak t-shirt, and those who donate $100 or more will receive a signed copy of Booth’s forthcoming CD. All donations are tax deductible and can be paid at the door with cash or checks payable to the Shepherd University Foundation. Credit card payments cannot be processed at this event.
