Shepherd University will host Slippery Rock University for an NCAA Division II Quarterfinal playoff game on Saturday, December 5 at noon. Due to the increased attendance to the game and a number of concurrent holiday activities in Shepherdstown that day, all game day attendees are asked to park on West Campus (unless you have reserved parking on East Campus). A dedicated shuttle bus will operate from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. from the West Campus parking lots to the the stadium.
As part of Christmas in Shepherdstown, a parade will be held downtown at 11 a.m. and parking near the center of town will likely be unavailable. Please note: Beginning at 10:30 a.m., German Street will be closed (from Church Street to Princess Street) and Princess Street will be closed (from German Street to Washington Street). The streets will reopen at the conclusion of the parade (approximately noon), so plan your route accordingly. The parking lots at the Shepherdstown Fire Department and the adjacent Jefferson Security Bank just west of town will be reserved for those coming to town to view the parade and the other Christmas activities. Eastern Panhandle Transit Authority shuttle buses will operate between the fire department and downtown and between West Campus parking lots and the stadium area. Three buses will operate from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and one will operate from 1-4 p.m. Additional parking will be available in the Clarion Hotel’s Conference Center parking lots, on the west side of the hotel grounds.
Additional overflow parking areas may be added; watch for signs directing visitors to parking areas.
