Scott Whitehair to perform at June 12 Speak Story Series

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Speak Story Series, part of the Shepherd University Appalachian Studies Program, presents Scott Whitehair on Tuesday, June 12, at 7:30 p.m. in Reynolds Hall.

Whitehair is a storyteller, producer, and teacher from Chicago. HAll Press Releasese is the producer of This Much Is True, one of the city’s longest-running personal narrative series, creator of Story Lab Chicago, which has put more than 500 new and first-time tellers on stage since 2011, and director of Do Not Submit, a citywide grassroots network of open mics bringing neighbors together through story. When he is not telling stories, Whitehair is most likely riding a bike, grilling out, or sitting in a sauna.

Admission is $12 at the door, with express entry for Speak season ticket holders, and free to full-time Shepherd students with a valid Rambler ID. Speak is for adult audiences.
