SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Shepherd University’s Phaze 2 Gallery is now hosting “Works on Paper,” a solo exhibition featuring art by Baltimore-based artist Ann Margaret Morris through Saturday, March 1, 2025, with an exhibition reception on Monday, February 3, from 4-6 p.m.
“Works on Paper” showcases Morris’ charcoal drawings designed to immerse viewers in the quiet force of the natural life cycle.
Morris’ realistic, large-scale drawings explore themes of patience, mastery, and the human experience in the environment by capturing moments of growth, decay, and renewal in nature.
Morris grew up in rural Pennsylvania and now resides in Baltimore.
She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Maryland Insititute College of Art and recently completed an extended residency program at Center Arts and Studios.
For the past 13 years, Morris has worked in oncology research at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Phaze 2 Gallery is located at 92 West Campus Drive, Shepherdstown, West Virginia.
Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 4-7 p.m.
