SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — TubaChristmas will return to Shepherd University on Saturday, December 10, at 1 p.m. on the front steps of McMurran Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.

TubaChristmas concerts offer the opportunity for tuba and euphonium players of any skill level to perform holiday music. The concerts are presented with permission from and are a trademark of the Harvey Phillips Foundation, which promotes the enjoyment and awareness of music through these events.

Registration starts at 10 a.m. in Reynolds Hall, followed by rehearsal at 10:30 a.m. The registration fee is $10 and includes a collectible TubaChristmas button. Participants are asked to bring their own music stands and TubaChristmas music if they have it. They’re also encouraged to dress themselves and their instruments in outrageous holiday apparel.

In case of inclement weather, the concert will take place in Reynolds Hall.

TubaChristmas at Shepherd is sponsored by the School of Music and Department of History. For more information, contact Dr. Scott Hippensteel, director of bands.
