School of Music to present holiday gala concert December 3 and 4

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — The Shepherd University School of Music will present “A Storybook Holiday,” its annual holiday gala concert, on Saturday, December 3, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 4, at 3 p.m. in the Frank Arts Center Theater.

This warm and inspiring holiday musical tradition will feature the Shepherd Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Scott Hippensteel; the Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Kurtis Adams; the Chamber Singers and Camerata, under the direction of Dr. Steven Grives; the Piano Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Yu-Hsuan Liao; and a guitar duet. The program includes holiday music with traditional favorites and contemporary arrangements and a very merry holiday sing-along. The Sunday matinee will include a visit from Santa.

General admission for “A Storybook Holiday” is $15; $10 for Shepherd faculty, staff, alumni, senior citizens, active-duty military, and those under age 18; and free for Shepherd students with a valid Rambler ID.
