New Residents for Spring 2017

Housing Availability

Potomac Place – Coming in Fall 2017!

Shepherd University’s newest residence hall is available for all students in Fall 2017! Potomac Place is a suite-style living where no more than 2 people will share a bathroom with double and single occupancy options available. Check it out here!

East Campus Traditional Halls

East campus traditional halls are located in a convenient location near the dining hall. When thinking about convenience, these halls are closest to the library, health center, student center, and most academic classes. East campus traditional halls are the most cost-effective space on-campus.

West Campus Traditional halls

West Campus Traditional Halls are in the center of campus. If you like to be in a central location of campus where you are near the Wellness Center and not too far away from classes, then this is the place for you. Many of our art and music majors may choose to stay in these halls due to convenience.

Honors Suites

First Year Honors students may be given special permission to live in Martin Hall, which is a suite-style building, as space permits. To learn more about this opportunity, please call our office at 304-876-5172.

Residency Requirements

Steps to living on-campus

  1. Shepherd University believes living on-campus is an important piece of the educational experience. Therefore, all Shepherd University students are required to live on-campus. There are a set of residency requirement exceptions listed here.
  2. Fill out your Housing Contract and return it to Residence Life through mail, fax, email, or in-person with a $100 damage deposit.
  3. Wait for a room assignment to come during the summer (the sooner you commit, the more likely you get your top choice!)
  4. Move-in and start one of the best experiences of your life!
