SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV — Shepherd University’s Men’s Choir, under the direction of Dr. Robert Tudor, chair of the Department of Music, will present a free concert at St. Agnes Catholic Church on Sunday, April 8, at 7 p.m.
The choir sings almost entirely a cappella music, with styles that span early plainchant to contemporary jazz and popular music. This concert will feature music of contemporary Irish composer Michael McGlynn, as well as sacred and secular music in Arabic, Punjabi, Afro-Cuban, and English. Some of the popular titles will include “Fields of Gold” and “Happy Together.”
This is a concert the whole family can enjoy and is part of the yearlong celebration of St. Agnes’s 10th anniversary.
