Invenergy Beech Ridge Energy Storage Project

26290792446_2088c77f8b_kMichael Polsky, founder of the Chicago-based clean energy company Invenergy, announced at President Mary J.C. Hendrix’s inauguration energy symposium on April 8, 2016 the creation of a new opportunity for Shepherd students.

Invenergy’s Beech Ridge Energy Storage Project will offer an internship for one Shepherd University student each summer to work at the facility and learn about the real-world applications of renewable energy. Located in Greenbrier County, West Virginia, the Beech Ridge facility has been operational since November 2015.
