For F-1 students, you need to submit Proof of Funding and an Affidavit of Financial Support, as well as fulfill the immigration requirement to obtain the I-20 Form, which allows you to apply for an F-1 student visa at a U.S. embassy or consulate abroad.

F-1 international students are required by the U.S. government to provide proof of funding showing you have sufficient funds to cover the cost of attendance for at least one full academic year at Shepherd University. Please consider that financial support will be needed for the entire duration of your chosen program.

Proof of Funding

Submit Proof of Funding (i.e. bank statement or bank letter) in English demonstrating sufficient funds to cover the cost of attendance at Shepherd University for at least one academic year (refer to the Estimated Cost of Attendance for International Students).

Proof of funding may be from one or more of the following sources:

Affidavit of Financial Support

Complete and submit the Affidavit of Financial Support form.

If you already have an F-1 visa and are transferring from a U.S. institution to Shepherd University, please submit a copy of your visa, current I-20 form, form I-94, and complete a SEVIS transfer-in form.
