As of August 9, 2021, vaccinations are not required for Shepherd University students and employees, but they are strongly encouraged. The Campus Health Task Force will reevaluate vaccination requirements upon FDA approval.
If you have registered your vaccine, you are not required to be tested either at the beginning of the semester or randomly throughout the semester.
If you are not vaccinated and you would like to be, you can find available vaccination appointments online.
Students who believe they are unable to be vaccinated may apply for an exemption by contacting Student Affairs.
Employees who believe they are unable to be vaccinated should contact Human Resources at 304-876-5299.
If you are not fully vaccinated, you will be expected to:
- Participate in onboard testing upon your return to campus
- Participate in surveillance testing
- Quarantine if exposed to someone who is COVID-19 positive
