Department of English and Modern Languages Visitation Days

The Department of English and Modern Languages and the director and student members of the Rude Mechanicals Medieval and Renaissance Players invite you to experience an interactive day in the life of a Shepherd student. Join us for a faculty and student led workshop and performance of Shakespeare’s As You Like, as well as a post-performance Talk Back. There are two visit opportunities, each with a unique experience.

Open House and As You Like It

Join us for an Open House where you’ll have the opportunity to tour campus and explore our majors, clubs and organizations. You’ll also be able to speak with representatives from Financial Aid, Residence Life, Disability Support Services and more.  After lunch, attend a matinee performance of As You Like It and stay after the performance for a Talk Back with the actors and director.

November 3 Schedule
9:00am- Open House Check-in, Academic Major and Campus Resource Expo
10:00am- Welcome to Campus, Office of Admissions Presentation
10:30am- Campus Tour
11:30am- Academic Department Breakout Session
12:30pm- Lunch in the Dining Hall
3:00pm- Matinee Performance of As You Like It (Complimentary ticket for student, additional tickets $8)
4:45pm- Post-performance Talk Back

Workshop and As You Like It

Join us for a workshop coordinated by the Department of English and Modern Languages and student members of Shepherd’s Rude Mechanical Medieval and Renaissance Players.  After the workshop, join us for a complimentary matinee of As You Like It and a post-performance Talk Back.

November 10 Schedule
4:00pm- Faculty led Shakespeare Workshop (Student-only event)
6:00pm- Dinner in the Dining Hall
7:30pm- Performance of As You Like It (Complimentary ticket for student, additional tickets $8)
9:15pm- Post-performance Talk Back
