Shepherd University is committed to a student’s right to privacy and confidentiality. Student files are kept separate from academic files and are stored in a secure location within the Accessibility Services office. Information contained in a student’s record is confidential and protected as an educational record under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Accessibility Services will not provide a student’s information to parties outside of the university without the student’s express written consent, which can be granted when the student fills out the Authorization to Release Information Form, which can be accessed by selecting the image.
