COVID 19 News from SU School of Music

Dear School of Music Community,

Thank you for being valuable members of the SoM community. We are all going through a challenging time adapting to new mandates as the COVID19 pandemic develops. We in the School of Music want to keep you up to date as to what is happening here on campus and in the Frank Arts Center.

On March 18, President Hendrix announced that we will transition all courses to a fully online format beginning March 30th through the end of the semester including final exams. This is necessary to limit close contact among large groups of people, consistent with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance on social distancing. Under these guidelines, our music ensembles are not able to rehearse together. At this point, it is in the best interests of our students, faculty, and community members we that we cancel all public performances for the remainder of the semester. Please know that we are committed to keeping our students, patrons, faculty, and staff safe.

While we share your disappointment for this concert season, we are already planning a wonderful series of concerts and recitals beginning in September. See you at a future concert!
