A student is placed on probation at the end of any semester when the Shepherd and/or overall average falls below 2.0.
A student placed on probation at the end of the Fall semester must achieve a 2.0 for the following Spring semester to be eligible to return for the following Fall semester.
A student placed on probation at the end of the Spring semester must achieve a 2.0 on the following Fall and Spring semesters to be eligible to return for the following Fall semester.
Students who do not achieve the required 2.0 average may attend Summer School at Shepherd University in an attempt to reach the required 2.0 overall average.
A student is removed from probation when both the Shepherd and Cumulative average reach 2.0.
A student on probation who withdraws from the University after the first five weeks of the semester will not be permitted to enroll in the University for the next regular semester or Summer School.
