Why was it important for you to attend college?

I wanted to have the option to do well in life.

What has been the greatest challenge so far in your college experience?

Balancing life and school because I want to do well in school but I have a tendency to throw myself into my academics and not give myself time to relax.

What has helped you the most so far in college?

The resources of TRIO, tutoring service, and the counseling services.

What are your career goals?

I want to go into the counseling field. I eventually want to have my own personal practice.

Outside of academics, what are your hobbies/extracurriculars?

I love writing, photography, and listening to music. I am a part of the Alpha Phi Omega chapter here at Shepherd, as well as the ram band color guard.

How has being a first-generation student influenced you?

It has reminded me that anything is possible. And it has made me want even more for myself than I did before.

What would you tell your first-year self now?

I would tell myself that I can do it, no matter what.
