How do we harness and use wind energy?

The kinetic energy of wind converted into mechanical energy by wind turbines (ie, blades rotating from a hub) that drive generators to produce electricity for distribution.

Do we have potential for wind energy in WV?  YES!

We even have an official WV Wind Working Group!

Heard of the Mountaineer Wind Energy Center?

The turbines are producing about 170 million kilowatt-hours per year

What is the potential for using wind generated electricity in other parts of the United States?
