(Shepherd University Ram Band increases membership by 37 percent)

Shepherdstown, WV--The Shepherd University Ram Band has increased its membership 37 percent, rising from 83 musicians to lift this year to 114 students. Prior to this year, the largest Ram Band was 103 students in 1998.

"I think the Ram Band's great shows and heavy travel schedule have garnered lots of interest. No band in the country does the type of shows we do," said Dr. Mark McCoy, director.

The band will feature the music of Grammy-winning musician Ray Charles in its 2005 football halftime shows. With his great hits including "Georgia," "Busted," "I Got a Woman," "What'd I Say," and many others, this crowd pleasing show is already a favorite.
