Shepherdstown, WV--The Shepherd University Rude Mechanicals Medieval and Renaissance Players will host a medieval feast Saturday, June 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the War Memorial Building (Men's Club), Shepherdstown.
The feast will feature an authentic medieval meal, sword fighting, fortune tellers, jugglers, medieval and renaissance music, and a short performance by the Rude Mechanicals.
"It should be a great time for all ages," said Dr. Betty Ellzey, professor of English and director of the Rude Mechanicals. "It's a chance for the public to go back in time and experience the joyful celebration of food and entertainment."
Tickets are $35 per person or $60 a couple and includes meal, one glass of wine or beer, and entertainment. Additional wine or beer may be purchased. The menu will include an array of meats and vegetable dishes plus desserts, all from medieval recipes.
