Jazz night slated at Shepherd University ISSUED: 18 October 2005 Shepherdstown, WV--Shepherd University will host jazz night Thursday, November 3 at 8 p.m. in the Frank Center. Dr. Mark Cook, director of jazz studies, will lead the jazz ensemble and the lab band in a program featuring a wide variety of jazz styles including works by Rob McConnell, Mark Taylor, Bob Mintzer, and Bill Potts. The newly formed Shepherd University faculty jazz trio will also perform featuring Dr. Cook on piano, Tom Williams on bass, and Frank Russo on percussion. Tickets are $10 general admission; $5 faculty and students 18 and under; Shepherd students and Friends of Music MAC card holders are admitted free of charge.
