Shepherd's Common Reading Program to sponsor movie and discussion ISSUED: 8 November 2012 Shepherdstown, WV--The Shepherd University Common Reading Program will show the movie "Miss Evers' Boys" in the Robert C. Byrd Center for Legislative Studies auditorium on Thursday, November 15 at 7 p.m. An after-film discussion will be led by Dr. Kathy Corpus, assistant professor of family and consumer sciences. The movie is free and open to the public. The film tells the story of the Tuskegee Experiment, a U.S. Federal Government secret medical experiment on poor African Americans from 1932 to 1972, designed to study the effects of untreated syphilis. -30- |
