Limited seats available on Shepherd Civil War tours

Shepherdstown, WV--Shepherd University will host two tours as part of the Civil War America, 1850-1865 course offered by Dr. Mark Snell, director of the George Tyler Moore Center for the Study of the Civil War. The tours will include Civil War Baltimore on Monday, October 15, and the Gettysburg Battlefield on Wednesday, November 7. A limited number of seats are available on tour buses, which will leave Shepherd at 8 a.m. and return at 6 p.m.
The tour of Civil War Baltimore will include the U.S.S. Constellation and Fort McHenry with focus on artillery and seacoast fortification, as well as domestic insurrection in Baltimore in 1861. The Gettysburg Battlefield tour will cover the entire three-day battle.
