Shepherdstown, WV--The Shepherd University Scarborough Library is hosting an art exhibit as part of the 250th anniversary of Shepherdstown. The exhibit, titled Friday Painters, will be on display through August 30 in the Scarborough Library reading room.

The Friday Painters exhibit consists of local artists who meet each Friday morning and do plein air painting. Approximately 30 works of art in a variety of media are included in the exhibit including water color, oil, acrylic, and pen and ink. In the glass showcase there are also a number of linoleum blocks with several resulting prints carved by Mike Austin.

The display will be changed periodically to allow other Friday Painter artists to participate. The participating artists include David Hutchins, Pat Donohoe, Pat Barnes, Dennis Clarke, Nancy Kautz, Diana Eldridge, Joan Keith, Marti Wells, Monica Wilkins, and Mike Austin.
