Shepherd to host open meeting on pedestrian underpass on August 3 ISSUED: 14 July 2011 Shepherdstown, WV--Shepherd University will sponsor an open meeting for the community to hear a presentation about the pedestrian underpass planned for Route 480 on Wednesday, August 3 at 7 p.m. in Reynolds Hall. Engineering designers for Alpha Associates, Incorporated will present the project design and anticipated timeline. University personnel will be available to answer questions about the project. The pedestrian underpass is slated to be constructed at the intersection of Route 480 and West Campus Drive. A 2010 federal appropriation through the efforts of Representative Shelley Moore Capito will provide $400,000 toward the project, approximately 10 percent of the expected total cost. -30- |
