Shepherd radio station WSHC DJs win award ISSUED: 24 March 2011 Shepherdstown, WV--The hosts of Shepherd University radio station WSHC's "Da Southern Boi Hour," Big T and Web, won the Radio Show of the Year Award at the Eighth Annual Southern Entertainment Awards (SEA) in Memphis, Tennessee. Big T and Web have hosted a hip hop music program for five years on Shepherd's WSHC 89.7. The show airs Tuesdays from 5 to 7 p.m. and features current hits in rap music, as well as exclusive interviews with today's hottest music producers and artists. The SEA presents awards in more than 70 categories and pulls from a list of thousands of radio stations and performers across the country. WSHC's DJs were nominated in the categories of Radio Show of the Year and #1 Male Personality of the Year. "I didn't understand the significance of the award until I got to Memphis,"said Big T, who lost the Male Personality of the Year award to Greg Street. "Basically, if he (Street) endorses your album, that's pretty much it--you're a star. Just to be nominated with him is an honor." -30- |
