(Shepherd's Common Reading Program hosts cooking class on October 28)

Shepherdstown, WV--Shepherd University's Common Reading Program, featuring Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver, will be hosting a cooking class led by culinary professional and master chef Elizabeth Wheeler on Wednesday, October 28 in Stutzman-Slonaker 102 from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The pasta and fall greens will be fresh and local. This is an opportunity to try your hand at a unique approach to food as featured in Kingsolver's Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. Learn how to buy, keep, and prepare a choice and nutritious meal using locally produced foods. This event is free and open to the public.

Due to space limitations, reservations are required. Please contact Judi McIntyre, director of the First-Year Experience program, at 304-876-5396 for reservations.
